Exfoliate
Exfoliating is one of the best and effective ways of getting rid of oily skin. When you exfoliate, all the excess oils present on the skin are removed giving it a fresh and smooth feeling. Get an exfoliating product that is suitable for your skin type or better still make one using oatmeal. Use plain oatmeal and grind it. Add raw honey to the now ground oatmeal to make a paste. Apply the paste on your skin and rub using circular motions. Once you are done, rinse the skin with lukewarm water.
Use lemon juice
Lemon is definitely among the best remedies most especially because it will enhance the overall health of the skin. It also contains citric acid that works to absorb the excess oil in the skin pores that can cause an outbreak of pimples. Extract lemon juice from fresh lemon. Mix equal portions of the lemon juice and distilled water. Apply the solution on your skin and let it sit for about ten minutes. Wash the skin thoroughly with lukewarm water. Doing this will help you avoid having an excessively oily skin.
Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera is another great option to choose when treating oily skin. It is a natural astringent and this means that it will help tighten the skin pores and remove the excess oil. In addition, it hydrates and moisturizes the skin. Carefully cut an aloe Vera leaf using a sharp knife to extract the gel. Apply this gel on the skin and give it some time to dry. Afterwards, use lukewarm water to rinse it off. Apply this remedy twice daily for a less oily and beautiful skin.
Choose the appropriate make up
There are some skin care products and make up that only contribute to having a more oily skin. Therefore, be prudent and always choose those products that are more suitable and can help control the production of excess oil on the skin.
